Hunan
Hunan is a province in the center of China. It has another name XIANG, related to the XIANG River which runs through the province and makes it a natural and vast plantation for tea and other agricultural products.

Hunan has a long history of tea’s cultivation and production. The earliest record can be traced back to Han Dynasty (about 2000 years ago). Silver Needle, Dark Tea, Yellow Tea and Green Tea Chunmee are famous teas from Hunan province. Chunmee 41022, 4011, 9371, 9366 and 9367 from Alsinia company are originated from Hunan.

It’s easy to identify Hunan in China’s map, as its territory looks like a human’s head.

Many great people come from here, the most famous one is the Chairman Mao, who is the first chairman in the People's Republic of China, you can see him on each Chinese note.
